Hey, I’m Tony, the founder and main writer of CameraGroove.
Believe it or not, the idea of creating this website first came to me in 2005.
That’s because since 2000, I’ve been making my professional living as a videographer and photographer. I’m a real geek when it comes to photography equipment and techniques for taking photographs.
Yes, I know, strictly speaking, cameras and lenses are only tools of the trade. But come on, you know that nice fuzzy feeling you get when a brand new piece of kit arrives and you can’t wait to check it out? I still get that feeling even today.

I eventually created the CameraGroove website in 2020 when a break in my busy schedule allowed. Better late than never, right?
The main goal behind Camera Groove is to share honest, real-world reviews of the popular cameras (DSLR & mirrorless), lenses, drones, gimbals, audio equipment, and all the various related accessories that come with this line of work.
Not only that, but I’ve also created a lot of photography guides and tutorials. If you’re new to photography, you’ll want to Start Here: Our Beginners Guide To Photography.
In 2004, I started my career in the world of events filming (weddings), corporate video production, and various styles of photography. I’m by no means an expert, but I’ve been around the block and I know a nice piece of kit when I see it.
I’ve rounded up a few of my camera friends to help with the creation of buying guides that will hopefully make life a little easier whenever you are in the market for a new camera body or lens.
We welcome feedback, here’s our contact page. Be kind!
Thank you for visiting and showing interest in Camera Groove.
Best,
Tony Kelly
